            This seems a rather strange and complex requirement on the installation of libraries.  Looking in the XCode settings, I see $(HOME)/Library/Frameworks in the Framework Search Path, that should seem to be a reasonable location.  What is special about IL, or XCode, or gcc, that it should need this particular framework to be in /Library/Frameworks?
