These are two games I developed with Mogre for my Major project for a Games Development course, at [http://creativeindustries.vu.edu.au/|Victoria University]. I developed the two games concurrently, with a total development time of approximately two months. All the coding and art I did myself, which I am also releasing for free, to use however you want. If you do use it for anything, I'd like you to [mailto:aaron@charcoalstyles.com|send me an email]. !!Graffiti Falls In this game, you control a character in a 3rd person view, as they run around a city painting buildings. Painting these buildings adds to your score, with the main objective being to gain a higher score than anyone else. !!!Installation * [http://www.charcoalstyles.com/GraffitiFalls.zip|Download the file] * Unzip (i.e. to 'C:\') * Open the 'C:\Graffiti Falls\GraffitiFalls.exe' and enjoy. !!!Source Code * [http://www.charcoalstyles.com/GraffitiFalls-Source.zip|Download the Source files] * Unzip (i.e. to 'C:\GF-Source') * Open the 'C:\Graffiti Falls - Source\TheGame.sln. !!Rapid Runner In this game, you control a character in a topdown view, as they run around a city "closing" "gates", avoiding UFOs that guard them. Closing the gates adds to your score, which otherwise constantly diminishes, with the main objective being to gain a higher score than anyone else. !!!Installation * [http://www.charcoalstyles.com/RapidRunner.zip|Download the file] * Unzip (i.e. to 'C:\') * Open the 'C:\Rapid Runner\RapidRunner.exe' and enjoy. !!!Source Code * [http://www.charcoalstyles.com/RapidRunner-Source.zip|Download the Source files] * Unzip (i.e. to 'C:\') * Open the 'C:\Rapid Runner - Source\TheGame.sln'. !!Art Assets I'm also releasing all the art assets I made for the games. 3D models were done in 3DS Max 8, and exported with oFusion. 2D was done in bot Paint Sop Pro 9 and Photoshop CS, but I think most of it is in compiled .bmp, .jpg or .png. In the archive is alot of old assets, as well as near-completed assets that didn't make it into the game. All I ask is that if you ever use them, tell me and/or give me a free copy of the game :P [http://www.charcoalstyles.com/CommonAssets.zip|Download the file] !!Notes * In the ./media/audio/ folder of both games, there are four .ogg files names musicx .ogg right now they are blank, feel free to replace them with any music you like. * Both games are designed to be played with an xBox 360 controller, not that it uses xInput, but the controller layout.
